"In Wind, Arkins treats turbines as sculptural objects splashed across a beautiful Irish landscape. Each successive image is jaw-dropping; like his photograph of a turbine being installed at night and then there’s an image of a solitary turbine standing Sentinel-like (for X-Men fans) on a dark, cloudy day suddenly hit by a shaft of sunlight. It stops you in your tracks".

Carbon offsetting is the compensation of CO2 emissions by equivalent savings elsewhere. Carbon offsetting projects may include the installation of energy saving devices in developing countries, the investment in renewable energy schemes such as wind farms or ‘carbon bank’ tree planting schemes.
Keith has worked hard to develop and implement an effective workflow system, from the low-power consumption technologies he uses to produce his work, powering the office and equipment with renewable energy, implementing an efficient waste management system, and moving to a completely paper-less administration system in 2012.
However, even with the most responsible approach, some carbon dioxide (CO2) will be released into the atmosphere both as a direct and indirect result of his activities, such as airline & road travel, heating, and general secondary energy consumption as well as the activities of secondary partners and suppliers.
For this reason, he has partnered with Carbon Footprint in the UK to offset his carbon emissions by supporting QAS approved projects in South America, specifically around the areas of reducing deforestation, tree planting, and clean water schemes.
